Lets try to master this art of getting the right information in the shortest possible time.
We all know that search engines like google, yahoo, alltheweb, msn are databases of webpages worldwide. These search engines show matches of websites / webpages which match the keyword we search for.
1. Search for the exact topic / keyword. Lets say you want to find business schools in india. Searching for 'business schools' will give you very large number of matches but they wont be appropriate. You should search for a string 'business school india'. This will give leeser and more appropriate results.
2. Include your search phrase in "" Lets say you want to search for any phrase like "Dr Manohar used algae". If you carry your search in a open phrase like Dr Manohar used algae, the results will be all absurd and very high in number. Instead if you
3. Use your 'C' sense It is not necessary that the right link will appear in top 10 matches of your search. Quickly look at the title and description of the matches to see if any of them appears to be the nearest one or can be explored further. Else check the next 10 matches.
Above all, the more time you spend on the net, you become a mature and wise surfer.
